In Oman, most useful capital is growth money, a recap, or a meaningful minority. Families usually keep day-to-day control. The investor gets visibility on the decisions that move cash, customers, and risk. Classic US-style leveraged buyouts with full control are the exception here.
Working capital. Receivables stretch. Inventory sits. The shop floor stays busy while cash conversion lags. Strategy decks can wait until the aging report and the warehouse tell the truth.

They stall on local partners, cash cycles, and the first ninety days of operating reality. Term sheets are the easy part. A weak local partner freezes decisions and clouds the cash. A strong one shortens licences, customer access, and trust.

When governance, books, and succession intent are clear enough that a buyer or partner can underwrite the business. A target multiple on a slide does not get you there.
Invoice and trade finance can bridge timing when the paper is clean and the debtor is real. They do not replace collections discipline or inventory control. Fix the cycle first, then size the bridge to the gap that remains.
Re-underwrite working capital, logistics, and force majeure or delay language in the contracts. Skip the geopolitics memo. Trailing DSO and stock days go stale quickly when freight and payment behaviour move.
